How to improve your confidence in yourself?

Confidence, some people just ooze with confidence, and some people look like they could use some. If you are one of those people who could use some, you have come to the right place. Before I go ahead with the pointers on improving confidence within yourself, let help you understand why you need it in the first place. In one of my blogs, I discuss the power of words. If you wish to be someone who wants to run the world, you need to be confident in yourself. If you want to grow in your life, socially and professionally, you need to have confidence in yourself. But of course, you need to learn there is a fine line between confidence and being a stubborn bull. Being confident does not mean you stop taking suggestions and advice it means having faith in yourself and the work you are doing.  Always remember self-confidence is the key to your super Saiyan mode So, what can you do to improve your self-confidence?  Answer  1) Work on your lifestyle.  One of the common reason...

Why should you be open to advice?

Wars are fought with weapons but won with advisers.

Many of us are at a stage of life where we do not wish to be told what we should or should not do, especially when it comes to our personal choices like drinking, smoking, careers, etc. We prefer to learn by mistakes rather than learning by choice, which is good but only in some cases.

We need to understand the importance of taking advice in life, not only from our elders but sometimes from the ones who are younger than us. I might sound a little old school in the concept, but in reality, we must learn to take advice in every step of our life. Why? The answer is simple. The world is full of people, and many of them have experienced things that we might have never even thought of, so when you ask for a piece of advice from your elder or someone who you consider wise, they might be able to tell you a different perspective towards the problem, or sometimes even give you the answer to the problem. Kings never fought a war without having advisers or strategists around him, and you should do exactly the same.

I am not asking you to rely on people for advice; I am asking you to consider what other people are saying and do your research on the topic and then make a decision. Growing up in different cities and countries I have noticed people are often reluctant towards taking advice. The feeling of inferiority takes place, which hinders an individual's growth.

We are surrounded by the wise and the fools at the same time, so we must do our research before believing anyone. The decision will always be yours. The consequences, be it good or bad will be yours. So, take advice, research, and then make a decision.

'Self obsession' vs 'Self love'

If you have ever said the following lines in your life, know that you are arrogant. Let me know in the comments if this sounds familiar " I will do what I want, I do not care about what you think about me" or "I love the way I am, I don't need to change" If these lines sound familiar then you, my friend are self-obsessed, you may think it is self-love or you being cool, but it is not. You are just being an arrogant person, who is self-obsessed and refuses to improve him or herself.  Now, I know I sound a little harsh in my tone, but I feel it has become very important for people to know the difference between self-obsession and self-love. Changing yourself for the better is not a bad thing . Self-love means to be open to criticism, to be open to improvements, to be open to make yourself a better person than yesterday. It does not mean you brag about your flaws. Let me explain to you with the help of an illustration; let's say you are a bad listener, now a fr...

Individuality

Often times relationships ask for a lot of your own time, which is a good thing if you wish to grow together and learn about each other.  Before I start with what I have learned over the past few years by being in a relationship and seeing relationships all around me, I wish to let you know that I strongly believe in sacrifices and a little compromise to make a relationship work. Now, that being said, I also believe 2 people who are in a relationship need to understand that they are there own individuals as well. What do you mean by that? It means to be the same person as you were before getting in a relationship, having the same dreams, still having some 'me' time. As young adults when we land in a relationship we often get too lost in it, we try so hard to be loved and cared for we make our significant others personality and choices our own, which is alright to some extent but too much of it can be harmful to self-growth because if by a stroke of bad luck it does not work o...
